Yalda Satar is a seasoned Civil Rights and Employment Law attorney with a strong track record of championing workers’ rights and challenging discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace.

She has extensive experience litigating complex employment matters in both state and federal courts, including cases involving:

  • Disability and pregnancy discrimination

Litigation & Civil Liberties Work

Yalda has spearheaded numerous high-profile and high-impact investigations and lawsuits addressing violations of civil liberties, including workplace injustices, police misconduct, excessive force, and infringements on First Amendment rights.

She is deeply committed to policy reform, particularly in advocating for the religious freedoms and humane treatment of pretrial detainees and incarcerated individuals.

Advocacy Beyond the Courtroom

Through her advocacy work, Yalda has lectured at various law schools and spoken on panels regarding:

She is a former California Women’s Foundation and Women’s Policy Institute (WPI) fellow, former Lawyers for Good Government Chairperson, and has published an op-ed in a Center for Constitutional Rights publication focusing on women’s rights in the criminal justice system.
